About Me

To start, I’ll share my work experience before getting into my personal interests, which I find more fascinating. In 1998, I relocated to Pittsburgh and joined FreeMarkets, a dynamic internet startup where I worked until 2007. After that, I transitioned to ClearChannel Communications (now iHeartMedia) as their Online Digital Programming Manager. In 2015, I co-founded an aerial production company with Johnny Beavers, an Emmy Award-winning drone operator. Our company used drones to capture stunning video content for various movies, TV shows, and commercials.

Following that, I joined 360fly, a tech firm in Pittsburgh that specialized in 360° cameras. While there, I developed a deep interest in 360 videos, as well as augmented and virtual reality technology. Even though public enthusiasm for this kind of content has decreased lately, I believe that cell phones will be supplanted by AR-style glasses in the near future (I anticipate around five years from 2020).

For the last few years, I’ve been employed at an advertising agency and have observed how technology is changing the industry at a breakneck pace. Advertising has evolved, and there are now enough digital outlets for advertisers to reach their target audiences without wasting money on reaching the wrong ones. A strong digital marketing plan can be ten times less expensive and a hundred times more effective than a conventional advertising campaign (broadcast TV, billboards, and radio). My specialty is in good video content, influencers, targeted YouTube advertising, Google Adwords, Google Business Pages, Instagram, and an array of Snapchat filters and social ads.

I currently work as the Marketing Manager for Powercast Corporation creating all things marketing related.  Powercast Corporation is a wireless power technology company that provides wireless charging solutions for various applications, including consumer electronics, industrial, and automotive. Their technology enables devices to be powered or charged remotely, without requiring any wires or cables, which can be very convenient and useful in many scenarios.

Moving on to my personal background, I’m the youngest of seven siblings, six of whom are male. They had a habit of breaking things, so if I wanted to play with any of our toys, I had to fix them first. As a result, I developed a keen curiosity for how things work. Recently, I helped construct a homemade airplane for the Red Bull Flugtag in Pittsburgh, and we placed sixth (not bad for a group of dads).

I enjoy restoring vintage motorcycles because there’s something about salvaging a piece of history from the scrap heap and seeing beauty in something that others cannot. I’m presently working on various small inventions, and motorcycles, learning how to play the ukulele, and teaching myself how to weld. If any of this piqued your interest, I’d be happy to have a more in-depth conversation!
